Article VI. VEHICLES FOR HIRE |
§ 13-137. Permit required.
No person shall operate, suffer, or permit a taxicab or limousine or other vehicle for hire that is controlled by him to be operated as a vehicle for hire within unincorporated Osceola County without first having obtained a vehicle for hire permit from the county administrator. No person shall drive or be in actual physical control of a taxicab, limousine or other vehicle for hire within unincorporated Osceola County unless he is in possession of a valid driver's certificate and a valid Florida chauffeur's license. The provisions of this article shall not apply to nonemergency medical transportation otherwise regulated under Article II of Chapter 12 of this Code. Nor to vehicles for hire originating outside of Osceola County which are merely discharging passengers picked up outside of Osceola County. Nor to such vehicles which are merely traveling through unincorporated Osceola County and neither discharging or picking up passengers therein.
