§ 14-164. Functions of the committee.

(a)

The committee shall be responsible, pursuant to the Compassionate Use Act and this article, for reviewing all applications for a certificate of approval for a medical marijuana treatment center, evaluating all applicants as set forth herein, ranking all applicants and recommending approval or denial to the board of county commission.

(b)

The county manager or designee shall have the power to: (i) promulgate rules and regulations concerning the procedures for any meetings conducted by the committee; (ii) require any applicant or operator to furnish any relevant information requested by the committee; and (iii) to require the presence of persons and the production of papers, books, and records at any hearing that the committee is authorized to conduct.
