§ 14-190. Intent.
Latest version.
The selling, distributing, and prescribing of large amounts of opioids in Osceola County has created a public health and safety hazard affecting the residents of the county, and the county has incurred significant costs associated with this epidemic related to healthcare, family and social services, criminal justice and addition and rehabilitation. It is the purpose and intent of this legislation to allow Osceola County to recover these costs and declare the opioid epidemic and its effects on the county a public nuisance.
