§ 16-73. Restricted areas.

(a)

The areas of enforcement of the provisions of this division shall be all public navigable waters, creeks, lakes, canals and channels, as provided herein, whether natural or manmade, located within the boundaries described below for the purpose necessary to protect the safety of the public as such restrictions are necessary based on boating accidents, visibility, hazardous currents or water levels, vessel traffic congestion, or other navigational hazards in compliance with F.S. § 327.46.

(b)

Idle speed no wake zones shall be established at the following boat ramps and shall extend five hundred (500) feet from said boat ramp:

(c)

Idle speed no wake zones shall be established at the following boat ramps and shall extend three hundred (300) feet from said boat ramp:

(d)

A slow speed minimum wake zone shall be established on Boggy Creek from shoreline to shoreline, beginning at the Boggy Creek Road Bridge and continuing south to the confluence of Boggy Creek and East Lake Tohopekaliga.

(e)

A slow speed minimum wake zone shall established in the C-31 Canal between US Highway 192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway) south and west to the mouth of the C-31 Canal at West (Big) Lake Tohopekaliga.

(f)

A slow speed minimum wake zone shall be established in the canal connecting Lake Trout and Lake Coon.
