§ 18-94. Transition period.

(a)

Each newsrack provider, placing newsracks within unincorporated Osceola County, but outside of a modular newsrack district, on the effective date of the ordinance from which this article derives, shall have ninety (90) days therefrom to bring all of its newsracks into compliance with the provisions hereof.

(b)

Within a modular newsrack district, the removal of individual newsracks and the placement of modular newsracks shall be done in conjunction with one another and in accordance with the terms and conditions of that agreement between the county and a modular newsrack provider.

(c)

If the county chooses not to enter into an agreement with a modular newsrack provider for the placement of modular newsracks in an area designated as a modular newsrack district, all individual newsracks must be removed from the designated area within one hundred eighty (180) days of the effective date of this article or from the date of designation, whichever is later. In such an event, the county may adopt a resolution which sets forth a permit procedure for placing modular newsracks in said modular newsrack district.
