§ 20-2. Assessments against properties to be made in proportion to benefits to be derived therefrom.

Special assessments against property deemed to be benefitted by local improvements, as provided for in section 20-1, shall be assessed upon the property specially benefitted by the improvement in proportion to the benefits to be derived therefrom, such special benefits to be determined and prorated according to the foot frontage of the respective properties specially benefitted by such improvement, or by such other method as the board of county commissioners may prescribe.
