Chapter 23. PROPERTY MAINTENANCE |
Article I. JUNK, TRASH, AND GARBAGE |
§ 23-2. Definitions.
The following definitions of terms shall apply for the purposes of this article:
Benefited property means that property upon which a factual finding has been made that there is an accumulation of junk, trash, or garbage in violation of this article and where a termination and abatement of said violation of this article has occurred.
Enforcement officer means any authorized agent or employee of the county whose duty it is to assure code compliance.
Garbage means any waste parts of food or other discarded animal or vegetable matter subject to bacterial decay, other than that which is set out for immediate pickup.
Junk means inoperative, dilapidated, dismantled or partially dismantled materials or parts thereof, including but not limited to, used or unserviceable automobile and machinery parts, scrap materials, scrap building materials, scrap contractors' equipment, pieces of metal, cloth, rubber, plastic, lumber, tools, implements, tanks, casks, cans, barrels, boxes, containers, drums, crockery, piping, bottles, glass, old iron, machinery, tires, rags, paper, cardboard, concrete rubble, concrete blocks, household appliances, other appliances not heretofore described, furniture, plumbing fixtures, and any other kind of scrap or waste material.
Trash means broken parts of trees, prunings, clippings, or any other pieces or fragments of vegetative matter, other than that which is set out for immediate pickup.
