§ 5-123. Permit fees.
(a)
Before any permit is issued for the installation or alteration of any electrical wiring, device or equipment, the person making application for such permit shall pay to the board of county commissioners a fee in the amount established by resolution.
(b)
When extra inspection trips are necessary due to any one (1) of the following reasons, a charge in the amount established by resolution shall be made for each trip:
(1)
Wrong address designated.
(2)
Second call on condemned work.
(3)
Additional work done after inspection has been made.
(4)
Work not ready for inspection at time requested.
(5)
Permit card not posted on job site.
(c)
A permit fee in double the regular amount of the permit or as otherwise provided by resolution will be charged for electrical installations started without a permit, excluding temporary service and jobs for small remodeling work performed on the premises where contracted, provided the building department is notified by telephone that work is being started and when the permit will be obtained for same.
(d)
No permit fees shall be refunded for any reason except:
(1)
In cases where the permit is being transferred from one (1) permit holder to another and no actual construction of the work has commenced.
(2)
The work cannot be commenced due to requirements imposed by the county.
