§ 5-208. Reconciliation with existing county ordinances.

  • (a)

    To the extent that this article authorizes service connection work be performed by persons who are not so authorized by the county electrical codes or the county plumbing code, this article supersedes such codes. For purposes of any such exemption from county licensing requirements for "connection work" or "connecting utility systems," under either this article or state law, such exemption shall only extend to the act of uniting the existing terminus of utility lines or structures in the mobile home with the existing terminus of utility lines or structures on the site of the mobile home set-up; any installation or addition of utility lines, equipment, or infrastructure, to either the site or the mobile home is not exempted.

    (b)

    Nothing in this article is intended to prohibit, or impose additional licensing requirements upon any person authorized by such codes to perform the electrical or plumbing work described herein, from performing such work in connection with the installation of mobile homes.
