§ 13-139. Criminal history investigation.
The county administrator shall cause a background investigation to be made on each applicant for a driver's certificate to determine if the applicant has a criminal record. The county administrator shall examine all applications and shall not approve an application if, based on the applicant's criminal history, the applicant is not suitable to operate a vehicle for hire. If the application is rejected by the county administrator, the applicant may request a public hearing before the board of county commissioners to offer evidence why his application should be approved, pursuant to section 13-163.
