§ 18-34. Penalty.
(a)
Issuance of building permit or certificate of occupancy. No building permit or certificate of occupancy shall be issued either by Osceola County or the municipalities for any principle building until the owner or developer has procured the official numbers for the premises and displays the same in accordance with the requirements of this article.
(b)
Initial assignment of number. Any person, firm, entity, partnership, trust, corporation, association or other organization failing to comply with the provisions of this article within thirty (30) days of notification of an initial assignment of a building (address) number or change of address shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punishable as provided by law. Additionally and alternatively, the provisions of this article may be enforced through the code enforcement board.
(c)
Replacement of number. Any person, firm, entity, partnership, trust, corporation, association or other organization failing to replace defective numbering shall be considered to have violated this article. Failure to comply with the provisions of this article within thirty (30) days of notification shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punishable as provided by law. Additionally and alternatively, the provisions of this article may be enforced through the code enforcement board.
