§ 4-11. Unclaimed animal.

(a)

Failure of the owner to remove an animal from the department and satisfy all conditions of removal within five (5) working days of notification, written or verbal, that the animal may be removed from the department, will result in the department considering the animal unclaimed. In such an event, the department may provide for appropriate disposition of the animal.

(b)

Failure of the owner to remove an animal that has been held for rabies quarantine within three (3) working days post quarantine will result in the department considering the animal unclaimed and at its sole discretion will provide for appropriate disposition of the animal.
